I used to do a stand-up routine about a TV show in the UK called Super Vet – the real-life medical exploits of a rock ‘n roll Irish vet called Noel, who seemingly can fix any animal no matter how grave it’s injuries…
Been a while since I’ve done but it went something like this…
“…the owners would bring their dog in to see Noel after it’s fallen off a mountain or been run over by a steam roller – the poor little mut is at deaths door – it can’t walk, it’s concussed, temporarily blind…
Noel would take the stricken animal from the distraught owners and get to work with X-rays, MRI’s, blood tests…
