That Friday feeling on this sunny day… 07/07/2017
Last night I did a lovely Edinburgh preview of my show, Eclipsed in Lewes.
This morning I am walking my son’s dog, Tess – because he is busy in LA with some film or other being premiered.
Welcome to the most important and exciting post I have written for this site…
Exciting not just because today is 28th June 2017 – which happens to be the World Premiere of Spider-Man Homecoming in LA with the entire cast and crew attending along with most of the Holland family – including two grannies and a granddad.
Nikki and Paddy are LA bound for a certain world premiere – while, Sam completes his A Levels and I drew the short straw to stay with him.
Doing what I do, I get to meet lots of interesting people – and even more so these days being the father of a certain son.
This week I had lunch with a brain surgeon. Well, when I say ‘I’, I mean that I was one of a hundred and twenty people but he and I were on the top table and opposite each other and we immediately bonded.
Hottest day of the year and so great training for Edinburgh – and this evening I run out my set for the first time at Chesham Comedy Club – and I am feeling oddly relaxed about the whole thing.
Today I am alerted by an excited mate to a feature today in a newspaper with some inaccuracies but I will confine myself here to the only subject on which I am a world authority and expert, me…
On my to a gig in bonnie Scotland this evening, I have stopped off in Edinburgh to visit my venue for the imminent Edinburgh festival – the Voodoo Rooms Ballroom. A beautiful ballroom in a lovely old bar complex and certainly accessible and easy for people to find – being a minutes walk from the Apple store.
Something rather lovely happening this week and a timely reminder of Eclipsed.
Back in the day, I was a team captain on a flagship comedy panel show on Channel Five called Bring Me The Head of Light Entertainment. There are so many ironies in this statement, I won’t trouble listing them here plus I am sure that you spot them for yourself – for those of you so inclined.
A comedy fund raiser this weekend for my son’s school – hosted by guess who, with a couple of my mates along for support.
