Edinburgh fast approaching where I will perform my new show – Dom Holland – The Glory Year – and so, I am looking for anything to boost my confidence and self-esteem. Not such a good idea then succumbing to click bait…

In my inbox, I frequently get excited alerts with news of TOM HOLLAND! Even though there is no possibility that anything in this link will alert me – because it will not consist of anything that I don’t already know and yet, like a dufus, I always click…

This one is imaginatively entitled “10 interesting Facts about Tom Holland” and for a split second, I am interested, until I read fact no. 1

It reveals that Tom has made many films including one called The Impossible. With this little gem, I realise that this is not the work of an investigative journalist and that my book, Eclipsed will not be Eclipsed as the definite source on all things Tom just yet.

Busy as I am (I’m not) I give the others just a cursory read until I get to Fact No. 5 – which I reproduce here in full…

Well, his mother, known as Nicola Frost is quite a famous photographer, on the other hand, Dominic Holland is popular as a comedian, author, and a broadcaster. Well, now do you have any doubt how Tom Holland is so talented?

Nikki is denoted as famous (albeit, quite) while all I get is popular!

So, now I am Eclipsed by my wife also…

This is not good news. It creates a confidence deficit that I need to plug ahead of Edinburgh – and if I can’t arrest this trend, then I will get my famous wife to do the show in Edinburgh and I will busy myself with seating people!

I note also that in fact no.5 – Nikki’s maiden, FROST is used – and aptly so, because if she does take to the stage in Edinburgh and is a triumph (darling) – its a surname she will be needing again!
