Spring is the best season of the year. The season with it all to look forward to? Sleepy plants budding and bursting in to life and all set to the greatest soundtrack on earth courtesy of our birdlife with their tweets and twerps.
Birdsong is beautiful anyway but even more so because we don’t understand what it is the birds are saying.
The tweets and twerps are basically marking out their territory and trying to attract a mate. The equivalent of – “Get off my land” and “Get your coat love, you’ve pulled”
But birds are shrieking at each other, so something more like…
“Ohi you, this is my branch, get the f*** out of it. Go on, clear off.”
Worth pondering as you sit in your garden enjoying an avian riot.
