In the late 90’s, I appeared as a team captain on a Channel 5 panel show called, BRING ME THE HEAD OF LIGHT ENTERTAINMENT. Mostly a torturous affair of lame set ups and highly pre-scripted ad libs by a bunch of comics. I completed two series and was then replaced for it to limp on a while longer before its ultimate death.
A big weekend just gone in the Holland household when we finally completed the Educa 2000 piece soft can jig-saw puzzle.
I’ve written before on this blog and I say in Eclipsed – that Tom has his mum to thank for where he currently finds himself in life – today heading back to LA for a few meets – as you do.
A new batch of copies of Eclipsed are being delivered today – the last with this book cover before I go with a new design.
The Russian murdered in London last week – was killed not even a mile from where we live. His house is now completely cordoned off with tents extending over his front garden and including two houses to either side. Four or five police cars and vans remained parked outside, although the press have left now – probably chased away by the freezing weather.
The Brothers Trust being almost a year old, we were aware that the website needed to look considerably more professional and in keeping with the ambitions that we have for it.
Tom is home from his Oscar duties and being rained off, we couldn’t play golf today, so we headed to the range instead.
Here’s a nugget for you…
Tom calls up yesterday to recount a story…
He is post Oscars celebrating at various parties in LA – one of which is being hosted by Madonna.
Returning to Edinburgh this year, I am currently porous – which is a pompous way of saying that I am open to all ideas for material and routines. An over-arching theme would be ideal but is unlikely, especially so against last year’s show, ‘Eclipsed’ which was so perfect.
To Hong Kong then for a gig. I’ve been here many times before to play the fab comedy club out here but this gig is a little different…
