After much agony, I am giddy to announce that I have overcome my phobia of all things new and technical and succeeded in making Eclipsed available as a print-on-demand paperback.
Further copies are on their way from the wizards at the Catford Print Centre – I should have them in about two weeks – but any orders between now and then, please be aware of the delay and my apologies. Better planning required going forward and in my life more generally would be a good idea…
Going to the cinema as a child was a treat and always a wonderful experience for me. Probably because we went so rarely but also because the films always seemed to me to be so special. Jaws left an indelible mark on my memory hard-drive but Back to the Future ranks as my all time favourite cinema experience. I was just awe-struck by Michael J Fox, which might explain why Spin City ranks as one of my favourite sit-coms.
As an owner of a Staffordshire Bull Terrier, a breed of dog which make the news today (again) and for all the wrong reasons, I thought I might weigh-in with my own thoughts.
We are excited that the limited edition run of a very special photograph of Tom is almost ready for launch. We have the edition printed and ready – and so all that remains is for Tom to sign them which will happen as soon as he gets home from meetings in LA. Each image will numbered and accompanied by a certificate which is displayed here in this post. The image on the certificate shows James at work and is not the image of Tom that will be available.
This might have been a career mistake of mine (I have made many) but I have always accounted for my family in my odd job choice. As a young stand-up comic I was mindful of my parents and never wanted my act to embarrass or humiliate them. Similarly with my girlfriend, Nikki, now my wife of course and mother of four.
Happy to have our eldest boy home tomorrow. It’s been a while and much has happened while he’s been away and so much to catch up on…
Sorry for my lack of writing of late. A little laziness on my part but also because I am keen to write stuff that is worth reading – rather than just posting for the sake of posting…
Over the years, I have written a few times on the passing of friends from the comedy world. A marking of my own time I guess, even though, sadly they have all been premature deaths.
Not that he needs any more brownie points – but nonetheless, Tom banked a further batch for himself by flying in from Canada to surprise his mum’s belated and impromptu 50th celebrations last night. Ably supported and accompanied by Harry, Nikki did the appropriate mum thing and burst in to tears – as I did when I got up this morning and saw the state of the bloody house.
